Recycled glass in interior design
The resources of our Earth have been a topic of many discussions and we feel it is our duty to play our part in fostering ecological production. Glass as a material is ecological and can be reused multiple times – the Essis collection is also largely based on renewal.
We started to think about glass as an endless material. Recycling, creating new from old. Recycled glass in interior design is not only ecological, but also truly beautiful and timeless. In recycled glass we can see its roughness, layers.
A half of our collection is produced from the cullet resulting from our own production, but an example of our produce are serving plates on order from a restaurant’s own broken glasses.
In our company, we wash, crush, sieve and re-melt the cullet into large sheets, which have many uses in interior design: tiles, wall panels for kitchens, glass tables, profiled work, lighting fixtures, partitions and wash basins can all be produced from recycled glass.
We also produce large room dividers from recycled glass, using the drawings or ideas of our clients. We always listen to our clients and all new ideas are highly welcome.
Our recycled glass tile collection consists of Riite, Kohva, Huurre and Kuura. Recycled glass tiles can be mounted to the wall with normal mortar, and we size the tiles according to the client’s wishes. Recycled glass tiles can be used for creating impressive surfaces in the bathroom or for details in the interior design.
Recycled glass used in the kitchen wall pane is ready installed to a U-moulding, making it easy for the client to fix the pane to the wall. We can provide the glass panes with ready openings for sockets.
The glass is resistant to heavy wear and really easy to clean. Recycled glass is special due to the uniqueness and dignity of the handcraft. By choosing a recycled glass product you choose one that is ecological, and also has a beautiful and impressive look.
